I am participating in Walk4ALZ on behalf of my father-in-law, Ron.

Ron is a brilliant man who spent most of his working life operating heavy machinery building and expanding the freeways around San Diego County.

Always fun to be around, and at his happiest when watching the Padres and hanging out with his grandkids, we sadly watched Alzheimer's slowly affect Ron's memory, personality and joy in life.

Alzheimer's San Diego were an amazing resource for information and support to our family as we struggled to understand and navigate the practicalities and impact of Alzheimer's in a loved one.

I'm proud to support this wonderful organization who provide services and information to many families like ours around San Diego - it remains our hope that one day in our near future a cure will be found for this terrible disease.
