Lorna's Loved Ones have been walking in support of Alzheimer's San Diego for years! I started my team in 2004 in memory of my mom Lorna, who passed away at the age of 74 from complications due to Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. My family was one of the lucky ones......Mom, and those of us that loved her, only suffered for a couple of years from this devastating disease before she passed. But though it was a short time compared to so many others that suffer for years and years, it was still a very difficult time for our family to get through.

There are more than 100,000 San Diegans living with Alzheimer's or another dementia right now. Alzheimers San Diego is there to provide all of them and their families, friends and caregivers with care and support. Honestly, they will help anyone with a question or concern about dementia in general.

The classes and programs that they offer cover a wide range of subjects that include all stages of living with Alzheimers and other dementias. In addition to the care they offer today, moneys donated also go to advance local research so that a cure can be found tomorrow. Please consider sponsoring me and help me make a local difference.

100% of the dollars we raise will stay in San Diego to help our community!

Remember, big or small, every dollar makes a difference. Please give as generously as you can and thank you for your support!
