This year, I’m walking Team Baca — a team created in honor of someone so deeply loved.
We walk not only for them, but for every caregiver, every family member, every friend, and every quiet hero who walks this journey alongside them — near or far.
We walk in honor of a loved one whose strength, kindness, and love have shaped who I am.
Someone whose light has touched countless lives.
The great memories shared, laughter, and spirit continue to guide us, even as we face the difficult reality of dementia.
Dementia is a cruel and quiet thief — it slowly steals memories, independence, and connection.
But love endures. Memories endure. And their foundation of skills, testimonies of strength live on in each person they have met.
And so we keep walking.
We walk for the adventures shared, the stories told, the laughs that still echo in our hearts. And wonderful personality and person they still are in the face of it all.
We walk for the caregivers who give endlessly of themselves.
We walk for those diagnosed — we see you, we love you, we honor you.
I’m walking for the millions of families impacted by dementia every single day.
And it is not something that can be done alone.
Will you help me honor this journey by making a donation?
Every dollar supports more research, more resources, and more hope. Your support — no matter the amount — brings us closer to a future without Alzheimer’s or dementia.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for walking beside me, donating, or the prayers. Whether in spirit, in support, or in love.
With gratitude,
Team Baca (Baca Strong)
