My mom, Lorna, was one of the many that suffered from Alzheimer's. It was a devastating diagnosis for her and for those that loved her. You feel so helpless as you watch your loved one suffer to just remember their children's name or how to complete an everyday task.

When she passed from complications due to Alzheimer's back in 2004, I vowed to try to better understand the disease and how it affects all of us everyday and to do what I could do to help find a cure.

This October, I will Walk4ALZ to help provide thousands of San Diego families with care and support today. Please consider sponsoring me and help me make a local difference.
