Hello UC San Diego Walk4Alz Team! I am SO impressed by our turnout this year for walkers and donations! THANK YOU to all of you! For those of you joining us, please find below instructions shared for walkers. Please note that UC San Diego will have a table/tent adjacent to President's Way, so please look for our tables (will be to your right if facing the stage from the inner circle) and join us before the walk! I look forward to seeing you then! Location 📍 1900 Park Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92101 (Corner of Park Blvd. & Presidents Way, South side of Balboa Park) Event Timeline ⏰ 6:30 AM: Festival area opens 7:40 AM: Opening ceremony with Carlo Cecchetto & CBS 8! 8:00 AM: Walk begins Parking 🚗 Parking is FREE. Use any of the available lots along Park Blvd. Prizes & More Activities 🐶 🎖 Make sure to stop by the Alzheimer's San Diego tent to play a couple games for your chance to win some Alzheimer's San Diego merchandise! We'll also have bibs for you to write down who you are walking for and wear it proudly throughout the event. Other activities include a Pup-arazzi tent where you can bring your furry friend and take photos with them dressed in Halloween costumes - as well as a fun kids STEM activity! Community Partners 🤝 Check out our community partner booths and the amazing work that they do for San Diegans around the county! For Remote Walkers 🏃♀️ If you can't join us at Balboa Park, we can still be together in spirit! You can participate by taking a walk anywhere, anytime on the day of the Walk.
